Specialised Care Services
Many of the in-house services and facilities available at The Village
are unique to the care centre and have resulted in The Village
Nursing Care Centre achieving a reputation as one of the premier nursing care
facilities in the country. These services include full time physiotherapy,
occupational therapy, complementary medicine, recreational therapy and a busy
activities schedule.
The benefits of a full time physiotherapy and occupational therapy
department have been immense for our residents, past and present. Many
residents who come to The Village for post operative care are often amazed with
the speed of their recovery. For our long stay residents, their quality of life
can be greatly improved through an ongoing care plan which will include a
suitable combination of our unique and specialist services.

Activity Related Therapy
Activity Related therapy is a daily group therapy session coordinated by the recreational therapist. The activities vary on a daily basis and often involve activities which have been coordinated by the Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Recreational Therapy departments. These activities help to encourage physical activity in a fun environment.
